Bride and groom and ( Child or priest ) take turn adding in their color of sand, and the merging of the colors symbolizes the merging of lives, I suggest if a religious ceremony to give a separate color to the pastor or priest to add to the top, as a symbol of God over the marriage.
Center vase will hold approximately 3 lbs of sand.
